Blade Maintenance
- Hedge trimmer blades require ongoing lubrication to keep the friction between the blades low to prevent excess heat.
- Unlike chainsaws, hedge trimmers do not have an oil reservoir, therefore the oil is applied directly to the trimmer blades. Ensure blades are lubricated before and after every use with a plant-friendly lubricant.
- Blades may be blunt and need sharpening. To sharpen your blades, take them to a sharpening expert. Eg: local mower servicing outlet or knife sharpening business.
